Kendra L. Sherwood, Ph.D.

Kendra L. Sherwood, Ph.D. is the founding owner of Rocky Mountain Behavioral Medicine. She is a clinical neuropsychologist who completed an extended post-doctoral training program in neuropsychology under the esteemed Dr. Arnold Purisch. She also completed informal post-doctoral training in neuropsychology at the Colorado Mental Health Institute, Fort Logan, one of two state psychiatric hospitals. Her doctoral training took place under the guidance of internationally known, Dr. Henry Soper, also with the emphasis on neuropsychology. With Dr. Soper's help, she completed her dissertation titled The Relationship between Moral Reasoning and the Neuropsychological Functions of Executive and Gestaltic Processing. Dr. Sherwood's specialty areas include severe and persistent mental illness, neuropsychology, and aeromedical psychology. She holds Post-Doctoral completion in neuropsychology, a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, dual Masters in Developmental and Clinical Psychology, and dual Bachelors degrees.
Dr. Sherwood has practiced in a variety of settings to include psychiatric hospitals, community mental health centers, and correctional facilities. She enjoys time with her family, reading a good book, and trying to salvage her flower bed (often to no avail).

Valerie Sims, Psy.D.

Valerie Sims, Psy.D. is the co-owner of Rocky Mountain Behavioral Medicine. She is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with expertise in chronic pain, severe and persistent mental illness, and forensic psychology.
Dr. Sims received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in August of 2010. She also holds a Master's degree in Forensic Psychology (2006) from the University of Denver. Dr. Sims has practiced in correctional facilities, inpatient psychiatric hospitals (civil and forensic), outpatient community-based clinics, and an integrative, multidisciplinary chronic pain rehabilitation facility. Her training and experience includes the treatment and assessment of adults, adolescents, children, and families in all of the above listed settings. In addition, she has additional training in the assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder in adults.
Dr. Sims enjoys spending her free time with friends, family, and her dog. She also enjoys traveling, baking, and performs as a percussionist with a local concert band.

Diana Luckman, Ph.D.
Diana Luckman, Ph.D. is a Licensed Counseling Psychologist with expertise in treating severe and persistent mental illness and eating disorders.
Dr. Luckman received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado in 2014. She also holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology (2008) from the University of Colorado at Denver. Dr. Luckman has practiced in inpatient civil psychiatric hospitals/units, private hospitals (at the inpatient, residential, and intensive outpatient levels), outpatient community mental health centers, residential treatment facilities, and a university psychological services clinic that treated both students and community members. Her training and experience includes the treatment and assessment of adults, adolescents, and families in all of the above listed settings.
Dr. Luckman enjoys spending her free time with family, friends, and her two cats. She also enjoys traveling, seeing live music, practicing yoga, and hiking in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Tattiana Romo, Ph.D.
Tattiana Romo, Ph.D. obtained her Clinical Health Psychology doctorate degree from the University of Colorado Denver. She interned at Aurora Mental Health, where she focused on integrated primary health, outpatient therapy services, and psychological assessments. Dr. Romo completed a two-year postdoctoral training with Rocky Mountain Behavioral Medicine, under the supervision of Dr. Sherwood and Dr. Sims. She provides evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. She has also completed specialized training in the evaluation of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Dr. Romo can also provide services in Spanish. She is proficient in the realm of community mental health and provides a safe and accepting atmosphere.
When she is not working, Dr. Romo enjoys spending time with her family. They love having Friday evening dance sessions in the kitchen, while their kids share their super cool music. Since her husband’s hobby of fish tanks has expanded to frog terrariums, she feels less guilty about expanding her dress and shoe collection.

Craig Anderson, Psy.D.
Craig Anderson, Psy.D. is our psychologist candidate, who successfully completed the required post-doctoral training at Rocky Mountain Behavioral Medicine last year and has joined our team. Dr. Anderson obtained his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Georgia Southern University where his research and dissertation focused on the interplay of psychological disorders and mental toughness. He successfully completed his predoctoral internship training at Denver Health Hospital Authority where his focus was on psychological assessment. Moreover, his training in graduate school and employment capacities has included time working with those experiencing severe and persistent mental illness at forensic hospitals, outpatient services settings, psychiatric inpatient units, and correctional facilities. He has had extensive training with psychological assessments and continues to learn the intricacies of neuropsychological assessment through the tutelage and supervision of Dr. Kendra Sherwood in his pursuit of becoming a neuropsychologist. Overall, Dr. Anderson provides assessment and diagnostic services to individuals across the lifespan with evaluations for neurodevelopmental, neurocognitive, psychiatric, and personality disorders. He has also completed specialized training in the evaluation of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
In his spare time, Dr. Anderson enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as attempting to wear out his dog, Luke, who possesses unlimited energy. Additionally, he continues to find enjoyment in building a self-sustaining garden to aid in his mad-scientist-like development of the ultimate hot sauce. Hannah Schweitzer, M.A.
Hannah Schweitzer, M.A. completed her M.A (Forensic Psychology) in 2017 and has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2019. She has worked in a variety of therapeutic environments with adolescents and adults including inpatient, residential, outpatient, correctional, and private practice settings. She employs a trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral approach (and EMDR when appropriate) to empower clients in making concrete and manageable changes in their lives. Her specialties include mood disorders, PTSD and trauma, self-injury, and healthy relationships and attachment. She is currently completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology and is operating under the supervision of Dr. Diana Luckman.
When Hannah is not working, she enjoys exploring all the dog-friendly places in Colorado with her two dogs and expanding her houseplant collection.

Mia Angeliese, M.S.
Mia Angeliese, M.S. received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Baylor University and previously worked with the Waco Children's Advocacy Center. Here at Rocky Mountain Behavioral Medicine, she serves as one of our Psychological Technicians. She is currently working towards completing her Master of Science in Forensic Psychology. She is incredibly passionate about helping others and is fascinated by mental processes and psychological disorders.
In her free time, Mia enjoys spending time with her three cats, singing and playing the piano, and watching medical and legal TV shows. She is originally from Seattle and loves to hike, but is still adjusting to the altitude in Denver and working her way to being able to hike once again.

Ava Reinhard, B.A.
Ava Reinhard, B.A. received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Colorado, Denver. Here at Rocky Mountain Behavioral Medicine, she serves as one of our Psychological Technicians. She is currently interested in pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology. Ava is captivated by the biopsychosocial factors that influence development, mental processes, and behavior.
When Ava is not working, she is hiking with her two dogs, reading, playing her switch, or watching horror and psychological thriller movies.

Amy Calkins
Amy Calkins in Rocky Mountain Behavioral Medicine’s administrative assistant, doing everything she can to keep our group organized and functioning smoothly. She likes to spend her free time with her family, supporting her kids in all of their various activities and volunteering with her church and community.
While not doing those things, she spends her time listening to many different genres of podcasts, dabbling in many craft projects, and traveling with family and friends. She also enjoys watching and attending college sporting events, especially the Boise State Broncos!

Mandy Floodeen is Rocky Mountain Behavioral Medicine’s previous administrative assistant and now provides billing services for the organization.
